Sperry x Star Wars Shoes

star wars, sperry, fashionably nerdy, geek chic

Sperry is known for a very traditional boat shoe – but in the last few years has been perfecting the art of a classic sneaker that is classy and cute.

These designs do a nice job of offering BAM Star Wars & also some more subtle Star Wars nods…

“For decades, Star Wars has taken fans on the ultimate odyssey, exploring a galaxy far, far away. In honor of the 40th anniversary of the release of George Lucas’s iconic film, A New Hope, we celebrate the series’ heroes with a collection of footwear inspired by the films… The Star Wars collection features five styles that will launch on August 10, 2017 in the United States and in select regions around the globe. The pack highlights what we love about the original trilogy and its characters and will be available for purchase at Sperry retail stores, sperry.com, and at select retailers in Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Japan, Panama, Germany, and Canada.”

Sperry’s newly released Star Wars collection is TDF (To Die For) and we received 2 of the pieces to show you and share our thoughts on.

1) The packaging is above and beyond amazing
2) though it seems the shoes come in half sizes I was sent the size up in the slip ons and they are super cute but pretty difficult to get on and I’m worried about blisters (even though they seem extremely comfortable when on) and for the record Xander loves his shoes and thinks they fit perfect.
3) My favorite detail is for sure the back of the imperial lace up shoes — there is a little bit of death star interior pattern on them…
4) They are $75 which seems pretty on par with most high quality Star Wars licensed fashions – as well as for a nice high end brand such as Sperry.

here is my unboxing:

here is a little video of us wearing the shoes…
